Accommodation facilities can play a major role in this process. According to research published in the journal 'Environmental Management' in 2019, their impact can account for up to 10 per cent of total energy and water consumption in particularly active tourist areas. The Cosmopolitan Hotels Group, therefore, has embarked on a journey with the aim of contributing to a sustainable world, with direct actions and raising awareness among its guests about the true value of the climate crisis and possible remedies.

In order to make our facilities throughout Italy more sustainable, the use of solar energy is one of the first solutions we are adopting, through photovoltaic systems that allow us to greatly reduce emissions, powering important parts such as lighting and air conditioning.

We are also paying more attention to the use of resources in general, for example by using pressure reducers for taps and inviting our guests to let us know when they want their linen changed in order to reduce the consumption of water, electricity and detergents.
