Services and Activities

For a holiday of relaxation and comfort, the Hotel Baia Imperiale offers you a large free car park where you can leave your car safely; a large panoramic terrace from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the splendid Bay of Cavoli; a lush, well-kept garden in which you can stroll and relax at all hours of the day; a tennis court where you can have fun with friends.

Beach in
agreement

The hotel does not have an equipped private beach. It has an agreement with the 'Bahia' bathing establishment (for a fee), located in the Bay of Cavoli, where you can relax on comfortable sunbeds or take a fun trip out to sea in canoes and pedal boats. The Cavoli beach is known for the transparency of the waters that bathe it and for the fineness of the sand that surrounds it. The more than 300 metres of beach protected by cliffs and facing south make this bay a place with a mild climate, ideal for bathing even in the low season. The bottom, consisting largely of white sand and in some places of smooth rocks, is ideal for everyone, young and old. The beach is only 200 m from the hotel and we would like to point out that the return journey is uphill. A free shuttle service is available from the Hotel to Cavoli beach. Timetables can be viewed at reception. If you wish to visit other beaches in Marina di Campo, the service is available for a fee. There are also free beaches in the Bay of Cavoli.

Tennis da
Court

For our guests who love sports and outdoor activities, our hotel provides a synthetic tennis court free of charge. For a small supplement, the tennis court can also be reserved for non-accommodated guests. Opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Shuttle

We provide our guests with a free shuttle service from the hotel to Cavoli beach. Those wishing to visit other beaches in the Bay of Cavoli or neighbouring locations may request a shuttle service for a fee.

Services for
Children

For our guests who love sports and outdoor activities, our Hotel provides a free synthetic tennis court. For a small supplement, the tennis court can also be booked for non-accommodated guests. Opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Fer
ry

To reach the Island of Elba, you can use the ferries departing from the port of Piombino.

The companies that operate this route, with which the Hotel Baia Imperiale has an agreement, are Toremar, Moby Lines, Blu Navy and Corsica – Elba Ferries. All these companies offer the possibility of taking a car with them. The crossing takes about 60 minutes with arrival in Portoferraio (the main port with connections every hour), and in Rio Marina secondary port with a few trips per day.

Sport

Elba offers an inexhaustible range of possibilities for lovers of all sports, from the most relaxing to the most adventurous.

If you are a lover of cycling and mountain biking, you will find every type of route on the island: from scenic paths suitable for quiet rides in the company of friends, to the arduous climbs of Monti Capanne and Calamita.

If trekking is your true passion, here you have hundreds of fascinating itineraries immersed in nature between sea, hills and mountains. Among the many hikes, one of the most famous is undoubtedly the one to Torre di San Giovanni, an ancient square building at about 300 metres above sea level, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Marina di Campo.

Love climbing and free climbing? Try your hand at the beautiful climbs on the island's rocky walls, from the easiest to the most technical.

Finally, the waters and seabed of the Island of Elba teem with life and biodiversity, making it one of the most popular places on the Tuscan coast for diving and water sports.

Activities
for everyone

Adventurers, hikers, divers and food and wine lovers: the Island of Elba has something for everyone. Whether you are in a couple or with friends, dedicate a day to discovering the nearby islands of the Tuscan Archipelago: Capraia, Pianosa, Giglio, Montecristo.

If you are on holiday in Elba with your family, you can go in search of stones and minerals, taking exciting walks along the Granite Roads and an excursion to the Mineral Park.

If your passion is discovering the area through its food and wine traditions, follow the Elba Island Wine Route, an itinerary along which you can taste wines and typical products, visiting wine cellars and farms.

Elba's waters are particularly rich in marine life and curiosities, being at the centre of the Tuscan Archipelago, Europe's largest marine park. So, if you are a lover of diving and snorkelling, Elba is a true paradise on earth for you.

You will enjoy swimming among schools of colourful fish and discovering amazing underwater wrecks, such as the Elviscott ship and the Junker 52, a plane that crashed in the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea during World War II.
